The Baillies, Glen Esk, Angus

A beautiful, remote spot in one of Scotland's loveliest places

Glen Esk is an under-recognised and understated place.  It is remote, yet accessible, benefiting from amazing scenery, unrivalled flowers and bird life.
About the House
The Baillies is an old sheep farmer's house set high above Glen Esk, at the boundary of the sheep pastures and the grouse moors.  It has been sympathetically modernised to provide good quality family accommodation.
The house commands astonishing views southwards across the Water of Tarf and over Glen Esk, looking towards Glen Lethnot.
Access

The House is remote.  Access is via about a mile and a half of unmade track.  It is navigable by normal cars, but care needs to be taken.  A four by four is an advantage, but not a necessity.  Low slung sporty cars are not recommended.  The track is regularly used by the farmer and gamekeepers.
